1960 sind die Geschwister Carrie (Bailey Buntain), Christopher (Wyatt Nash) und Cathy Dollanganger (Rose McIver) vom Dachboden von Foxworth Hall geflohen, wo sie von ihrer Großmutter Olivia Foxworth (Ellen Burstyn) in der Überzeugung festgehalten wurden, sie seien, da sie aus einer inzestuösen Beziehung stammen, die Sprösslinge des Teufels.
